Over two and a half years, from September 2005 until March 2008, the government invested £2million in three Music Manifesto Pathfinders - The Hallé Orchestra and Manchester Consortium, The Roundhouse and The Sage Gateshead - helping these leading music organisations to realise the aims of the Music Manifesto.

These three Pathfinders developed a range of innovative projects designed to inspire more young people to access high quality music provision. In addition, each Pathfinder created models for providing access to music teaching and learning that can be replicated across the country.
