Have you signed up to Shine yet? Shine is the week-long national festival celebrating and showcasing young people's talents and taking place from 30 June - 4 July 2008.

It's often said that us Brits aren't very good at blowing our own trumpet so here's your chance to subvert some stereotypes and celebrate the talents and achievements of the young people you work with, whether that's in music, drama or photography, or languages, enterprise or cookery. Big it up!

Organise an event for Shine Week and at www.shineweek.org you can create a webpage to promote it. You can also upload students' work and stories of celebration, adding music, images and video to show off everyone's talent to the full.

And you don't have to work in a school - if you or your organisation works with young people in any way you can still take part.

The website features free resources and downloads including logos, jingles, posters, certificates and screensavers, plus tips for getting media coverage of your events.

Go to www.shineweek.co.uk for more info. There's plenty of great work up there already, so take a look.
