Session hosted by Cliff Manning & Tim Riches from NUMU.
While the tabloid press may demonise the internet, most young people can't imagine life or learning without it.
Find out how to tap into your students' love of music with their love of using the web through NUMU, 'a safe MySpace for music learning'. It's a dedicated place online for young people to showcase their music, meet others and learn new skills.
NUMU is designed to support the Music Curriculum at primary and secondary level and integrates with the innovative learning approaches established by Musical Futures around personalisation.
Find out all you need to know about social networking online, the value of peer to peer feedback and the opportunities the internet provides to promote learning and creativity.
This session also includes full details of how your school/college or project could be eligible for a year's FREE membership of NUMU (see below for details).
Tuesday 16 January 12.15 - 1 pm.
In the Bloomberg Studio as part of the Creator's Bedroom.
