More than 80 organisations requested the tender documents produced by the DfES in May inviting an organisation or consortium to manage the National Singing Programme.

Five strong bids were received, and following a detailed evaluation and interview process, a consortium of Youth Music, The Sage Gateshead, Faber Music and advertising agency Abbot Mead Vickers was awarded the tender.

This consortium will also work with many other national and regional organisations. More details will follow in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, all enquiries concerning the National Singing Programme should continue to be directed to the Music Manifesto until the staff and structures are in place for the consortium to take over. Please send enquiries to info@musicmanifesto.co.uk.
