The five priorities are: An awards scheme to celebrate good practice; Workforce development; Transition; Crossing boundaries between in-school and out-of-school sectors; Special educational needs and inclusivity.

What do you think? Do you have experience in these areas that you would like to share? Do you have ideas, opinions or resources that could help inform the work of the MMPAG? Share your views.

I am currently leading an investigation into all things Transition, on behalf of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and in partnership with the Music Manifesto Partnership and Advocacy group. I am happy to take comments, ideas, examples of innovative practice, obstacles to further progress, please post them here, but also feel free to contact me directly at: pricedav@googlemail.com

I have extensive experience in this area which I would like to share. I think also there should be more joint working between special and mainstream schools. And the sing up campaign should be more inclusive to accomodate children who are not able to speak or actually sing words.

Take a look at 'Nice Warm Socks', a song book project for precisely this kind of inclusion. It is available in format for electronic sign boards for children who cannot vocalise. Lots more going for it, well worth a try.
